A child walking along a seashore. You never can tell what small pebble it will pick up and store away among its treasured things.
Every time I have some moment on a seashore, or in the mountains, or sometimes in a quiet forest, I think this is why the environment has to be preserved.
It is pleasurable, when winds disturb the waves of a great sea, to gaze out from land upon the great trials of another.
When was the last time you spent a quiet moment just doing nothing - just sitting and looking at the sea, or watching the wind blowing the tree limbs, or waves rippling on a pond, a flickering candle or children playing in the park?

If you ask me .. I do it all the time ... as most of the time I am alone .. even in the crowd
Seeing the pic of the beach, few lines came to me :

i think there is no excuse for NOT preserving nature...no, not even industrialization..
any society that doesn't respect nature is not worth any respect...
We need to preserve environment for so many reasons but I never thought from this perspective.

I do like to walk a lot. Get to see a lot then. =)
Ya true, the other day when I was walking through the woods, I saw a rabbit standing in front of a candle making shadows of people on a tree. ;~)
how i long to sit quietly for some time just observing a sunset ...
